As-Salaam Alaikum
Let each of us agree that if given the choice between heaven and hell; that all of us would choose heaven. However; the choice we make must drive our actions. What actions bear witness to our desire for heaven?
The Honorable Elijah Muhammad teaches us that heaven for a man is found in a woman. How we treat the source of our heaven means much; especially since we are now in the chambers of our homes.
Here are just a few tips for making our homes a place of worship and our heaven.
Keep up prayer and pray together.
Eat one meal a day at your table as a family.
Schedule your day and be sure to include scheduled joy. Find activity that you enjoy together at home.
Bring your children into your joy. Do not share only doom with children; show the beauty of the Hereafter.
Find activity that you personally enjoy. Support your husband or wife in their hobby. If you wife enjoys gardening; use her tomatoes in your salad and let her know how good it taste. In other words; be supportive.
Encourage your mate to participate in their FOI/MGT classes and give them space and privacy to enjoy as if they were away at the Mosque.
Keep up righteous communications with friends and family. The Believers are friends of each other.
Keep up with the news; but do not allow it to overwhelm you. Find entertaining movies, good music that lifts your spirits.
These are just a few tips.
