Will the Real Bigot Please Stand Down?
By Abdul Sabur Muhammad
The very opening remarks made by Patrick D. John produces a near perfect description of bigotry as defined by dictionaries.
bigotry
▸ noun [mass noun] obstinate or unreasonable attachment to a belief, opinion, or faction; in particular, prejudice against a person or people on the basis of their membership of a particular group:
the difficulties of combating prejudice and bigotry.
– ORIGIN late 17th century : from bigot, reinforced by French bigoterie.
The positions made by Patrick D. Johns are both obstinate and unreasonable. Without offering any evidence into his claims, Patrick D. John has falsely labeled, and libeled, a man that has done Jews no harm.
Johns has falsely claimed that the Minister has sown seeds of hate that have been ignored by Christians. He presents the false equivalence of putting the name Farrakhan in a paragraph with the fictional Archie Bunker, and with those who have committed acts of vandalism and violence against worshippers of the Jewish faith.
First, the Minister and the Nation of Islam have published our thoughts and our true history is well recorded. John’s version of the Minister’s presentation are full of half-truths and outright lies. For example, the points of argument are 1. White people are a “dominant culture”, 2. Jews have sinned by creating and following the Talmud, 3. Jesus was not Jewish, 4. Jews are responsible for the death of George Floyd, and 5. Jews are not native to Israel. Each “point” in your analysis is flawed. They are obstinate and unreasonable attachments to the belief that the Minister is an anti-Semite.
Whites people are a dominant culture. A simple review of Africa and her legal languages proves the dominance of Whites in world culture. To travel Africa, one must speak the language of her colonizers and our enslavers. Religion, politics, economic and education are all dominated by White culture. This, by the way, is what contributed to turning Jesus White.
The Holy Qur’an speaks of those who altered the Book in these words:
2:75 Do you then hope that they would believe in you, and a party from among them indeed used to hear the word of Allah, then altered it after they had understood it, and they know (this).
2:76 And when they meet those who believe they say, We believe, and when they- are apart one with another they say: Do you talk to them of what Allah has disclosed to you that they may contend with you by this before your Lord? Do you not understand?
2:77 Do they not know that Allah knows what they keep secret and what they make known?
2:78 And some of them are illiterate; they know not the Book but only (from) hearsay, and they do but conjecture.
2:79 Woe! then to those who write the Book with their hands then say, This is from Allah; so that they may take for it a small price. So woe! to them for what their hands write and woe! to them for what they earn.
Again, another unreasonable and obstinate view of the Minister. The Honorable Minister Louis Farrakhan is a Muslim. Like any Muslim who Believes in the Holy Qur’an, we all believe in Jesus. Strangely enough, your writing in a Jewish newspaper, The Times of Israel, does not mention that most Jews do not believe in Jesus. Since Jews do not believe in Jesus, why is this attempted argument written here. I suggest you read the thousands of words spoken by the Minister without an obstinate and unreasonable heart, blinded eyes and deaf ears.
The Minister did not say that Jews killed George Floyd. He referenced law enforcement agencies in America that have received crowd control and riot training by Israeli forces. Note: for a Black man; that is akin to police forces being trained by slave masters who were expert in containing the Black man’s desire to be free. You are from Guyana. Your homeland has made heroes worthy of celebration who led slave uprisings. So many slaves were brought there, that its Black population is nearly 30%. What if the police forces in Guyana went to apartheid South Africa to learn how to contain activism in the country that gave to the world activist scholars such as the notable Walter Rodney and Dr. Ivan Van Sertima. Again, your views toward the Minister are unreasonable and obstinate. Why?
The native people of the earth are people of color. In fact, anthropology, archeology, and honest historians who consider self-evident truths will agree that the people of the promise of Abraham who were held in bondage for 400 years in Egypt could never have been White. On the verge of the peace agreement between Israel and Egypt, acclaimed journalist Walter Cronkite offered an observation of how wonderful it was that standing in front of the pyramids; he said were built by the Jews. Egyptian President Anwar Sadat stopped that line of dialogue and quickly interjected that there was no history of that. The Israeli Prime Minister, Menachem Begin did not dispute his words.
One of the greatest lies ever told was being retold. Please read the Book of John 8, Jesus says that truth will make us free. The Jewish leaders replied to him, “How say you that we be made free; we have never been held in bondage to any man. This passage serves you as a Christian follower a reasonable concern regarding the people of the promise made to Abraham in Genesis 15:13-15.
Your family made it to Guyana the same way our family made it to America, the Caribbean and much of South America. We were captured, carried on a westward journey to be enslaved. We were made the burden bearers of White dominance; many of whom felt justified in their evil having relieved themselves of the idea of sin by excusing themselves with the thoughts of Talmudic scholars suggesting that our enslavement came by the theologians’ false notion of the Curse of Ham. We today, have the duty of pointing out the wrongs of history. That is the first steps toward atonement.
